Hodos Diastema — Comparing Processes as Curves of Distributions

A signal is a curve of probability distributions on a statistical manifold. Comparing signals is comparing curves. Validated on speech across different voices and on handwriting from pen motion alone — including the failure case we predicted before testing. Named Hodos Diastema in 2026 because one word had been carrying two jobs: readers met "Hodos", assumed it meant this equation, and never reached the premise underneath. The paper, its DOI and every existing citation are unchanged — a name does not re-date the work.
